Via fontblog: »Zukunft der Zeitschrift« – Da wäre ich mir nicht so sicher. Aber das ist sicherlich das Beste, was ich in dieser Richtung bisher gesehen habe. Vor allem die Qualität des Films ist Bemerkenswert. Ganz tolle Funktionen im UI kommen erst an fortgeschrittener Stelle. Würde gerne Content für so ein Device aufbereiten. Von der lustigen Swipebewegung, die wir uns (ich mag das auch nicht, ich meine nur: wir kennen das) am iPhone angewöhnt haben werden wir so schnell nicht wieder wegkommen, das ist meine Einschätzung zur Zukunft. Diese Zukunft ist leider weiter entfernt als uns das Konzept glauben machen will. Bis dahin gibts in der Bahn weiter nur Miniscreens, oder wunderbare Riesenzeitungen (Die Zeit, SZ, FAZ: im nordischen Format - immerhin 800 x 570 mm aufgeklappt). Dazwischen gibts den Spiegel, aber den muss man nicht swipen.

Kid CuDi’s »Make Her Say« hat von »The Mill« ein derbe getimtes Splitscreen-Video bekommen. Viele gedeckte Farben, schönes Sonnenlicht, kontrastiert mit neutralem Grau. Wunderbare Orte wie das Schwimmbad in dem Kanye seinen Part über Kindsmissbrauch zum besten gibt. Der Text ist hier fast egal. Die Bilder sind unglaublich schön und unschuldig, wer hört da schon den überschäumenden Chauvinismus von Kid CuDi (der dieses Jahr noch ein Album releasen wird), Kanye West und Common?

Ausgestellt wird ab 7. Juli in der Aula des Fachbereichs Gestaltung. Am 14. Juli werden wir abgelöst durch die Sommerdiplomsausstellung.
